Go past the Continental Hotel and take the second street on the right into Antoninska street past the Technical University rectorate. Turn left at the first corner and walk down Botanicka street. Behind the park – the “Tyrs' Gardens” – you will find the Jan Hus Congregational Church.
The building has a flat roof, and next to it stands a square tower with a belfry. On the ground floor there is a billiards hall and restaurant with a street entrance. Above this is the prayer room. The building stands parallel with the street. The congregation hall can be entered from a raised terrace. It is a puristic construction with Dutch and French influences. The Jan Hus Congregational Church is acknowledged as the first modern sacred building in Czechoslovakia and one of the first in Europe. It is considered the most important work by Visek, the renowned Czech architect.
